Larry A. Kaufman, President and FounderLarry is President and CEO of KFS.
Among the honors bestowed on Mr. Kaufman was the coveted Charles B. Palmer Award in 1998 – the highest industry award given by the New Castle County Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for his industry and community service. In 2001 Mr. Kaufman was awarded the Douglas Bennetti Award for his contributions to the insurance industry in the State of Delaware. Also, Mr. Kaufman has been selected as an Honored Member in the National Directory of Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals of America. Mr. Kaufman began his insurance career in 1961 as an agent for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey. At that time, he formed Kaufman Financial Services. Mr. Kaufman was first appointed General Agent and direct distributor for life and health insurance companies in 1965. In 2019, Mr. Kaufman celebrated his 56th year as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, a conference of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He has served NAIFA in numerous capacities, including Chairman of the group insurance subcommittee in 1975; and was charged to present Congressional testimony regarding potential taxation of Group Permanent Life Insurance. Mr. Kaufman is Past President of the New Castle County Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NCCAIFA) and was National Committeeman for the Delaware Association of Life Underwriters for 13 years. He is also past President of the Delaware Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (DAIFA). He addresses various industry associations nationwide regarding sales and marketing of life and health insurance products, as well as agency management. Mr. Kaufman is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Delaware. In 1971, Mr. Kaufman served at the pleasure of the Insurance Commissioner for the State of Delaware as Chairman of the Life and Health segment of the re-codification of the State Insurance Regulations. For ten years, beginning in 1995, Mr. Kaufman served as a member of the Test Revision Committee for the State of Delaware Insurance Department |

Eileen Hartley, Agency AdministratorEileen joined KFS in the Fall of 2019 as Agency Administrator .
Eileen has spent over a decade in the financial services industry. She has an MBA degree, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Delaware, and has worked in Banking and Student Lending, and for upstart business entrepreneurs. Eileen began her career in financial services with Marine Midland Bank in New York City. After a move to Delaware as Assistant Vice President of Customer Service, Eileen went on to support three business owners as a Bookkeeper, Personal Assistant, and Executive Assistant. Eileen has the kind of comprehensive grasp of processes and concepts that is the result of extensive experience working with clients, agents, carriers, attorneys and accountants in prospecting, processing and implementation of products that best fit the needs of each of our individual clients and affiliates. In her role with KFS, Eileen is responsible for the management of our agent services and customer service departments. In addition, she is the primary interface for our affiliated agents and agencies and can manage any issue that might arise with clients, carriers and products. We are fortunate to have Eileen at KFS and look forward to her guidance and input as we build an even more dynamic team for our clients and affiliates. |
